Pocket Rockets East Anglia Wins Cleaning Team of the Year – Suffolk at the 2026 Business Awards UK
There are moments in business that make you stop, reflect and realise just how far you’ve come. Receiving recognition as an Award-winning cleaning company and Suffolk Cleaning Team of the Year is one of those moments.
For us, winning the Cleaning Team of the Year – Suffolk award at the 2026 Business Awards UK is one of those moments.
As a relatively young business, receiving regional recognition from Business Awards UK is an incredible honour. It isn’t simply about winning an award; it’s recognition of the compassion, professionalism and dedication that our team brings to every single job.
From supporting vulnerable people living in hoarded homes to helping families following an unattended death, restoring properties after sewage leaks, tackling severe mould and assisting people returning home from hospital, every project we undertake is approached with care, dignity and respect.
This award recognises that commitment, and we couldn’t be prouder.

A Business Built on Making a Difference
When we founded Pocket Rockets East Anglia, we didn’t set out to become just another cleaning company.
We wanted to create a business that genuinely changed lives.
Having worked together for over twenty years, Laura and I knew we wanted to combine our professional experience with our personal passion for helping vulnerable people.
Many of the situations we attend are incredibly emotional. We work with individuals who may be experiencing mental health challenges, hoarding behaviours, addiction, bereavement or illness. We also work alongside social workers, housing associations, NHS teams, local authorities, charities and families who are trying to help someone move forward.
For us, specialist cleaning has never just been about restoring a property.
It’s about restoring dignity, independence and hope.
Why Winning This Award Means So Much
Winning Cleaning Team of the Year – Suffolk means so much because it recognises something that has always been at the heart of Pocket Rockets East Anglia.
Compassion.
Our work isn’t glamorous.
Some days we’re clearing heavily hoarded homes.
Some days we’re cleaning after an unattended death.
Other days we’re restoring properties affected by sewage leaks, mould, drug paraphernalia or severe neglect.
Every situation is different, but our approach never changes.
We treat every client, every family and every property with kindness, professionalism and respect.
That is what this award represents to us.

Pocket Rockets East Anglia received the Cleaning Team of the Year – Suffolk award at the 2026 Business Awards UK. The recognition reflects the team's work in sensitive and challenging cleaning situations, including hoarded properties, welfare cleans, hospital-discharge cleaning, post-bereavement cleaning, sewage contamination, severe mould and properties affected by neglect.

Its service area includes Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Essex and East London.

- Who can refer someone for a welfare clean? Support may be arranged by an individual, family member, social worker, housing association, NHS team, charity or local authority.

What makes specialist cleaning different from routine cleaning?
Specialist cleaning is needed when a property involves circumstances that require more than a standard domestic clean. Examples include extensive hoarding, contamination following a sewage leak, severe mould, drug paraphernalia, prolonged neglect or an unattended death. These situations can be emotionally difficult for occupants and families as well as physically demanding for the cleaning team.
A sensitive specialist-cleaning service should consider both the condition of the property and the welfare of the person affected. This can mean allowing time for decisions about personal possessions, communicating carefully with relatives or professional referrers, and avoiding judgement about how a home came to be in its current condition.
For Pocket Rockets East Anglia, the intended outcome is a cleaner and more usable home, alongside practical support for someone who may be facing illness, bereavement, mental health challenges, addiction or difficulty managing their environment.
Safety questions to ask when arranging a specialist clean
When a clean involves sewage, mould, sharps, drug paraphernalia or other potentially hazardous conditions, clients and referrers should ask how risks will be assessed before work begins. Relevant UK health-and-safety terminology may include the Health and Safety Executive, COSHH regulations, PPE requirements and arrangements for handling waste.
It is useful to confirm which areas will be cleaned, whether belongings can be identified for review before disposal, what protective equipment may be required, and whether any restrictions apply before the property can be used again. For housing, health and social-care referrers, clear communication about access, safeguarding concerns and the expected scope of work can help ensure the right support is arranged.
Pocket Rockets East Anglia can strengthen this page further by publishing its own verified training, insurance, risk-assessment and waste-handling information where applicable.
How can families and professionals arrange specialist cleaning support?
A specialist-cleaning enquiry is often made at a stressful time, particularly where a person is returning from hospital, coping with bereavement or struggling to manage their home. Families and professional referrers can make the process clearer by preparing a brief description of the property, the areas requiring attention, any known risks and whether personal possessions need to be protected or reviewed.
For complex cases, useful information may include whether a social worker, housing officer, NHS professional, charity worker or family member is coordinating support. This helps establish who can provide access, who should receive updates and whether there are welfare or safeguarding considerations.
Publishing Pocket Rockets East Anglia’s verified enquiry, assessment, quotation, cleaning and handover steps would make this article more useful for people seeking urgent or compassionate property-cleaning support across Suffolk and the wider East Anglia region.
